UWSFC Receives Grant from Santa Fe Community Foundation.
UWSFC is proud to announce receipt of a $15,000 grant from the Santa Fe Community Foundation.
Santa Fe, NM – United Way of Santa Fe County (UWSFC) is proud to announce the receipt of a $15,000 grant from the Santa Fe Community Foundation (SFCF) during their 2017 Community Grants Spring Cycle.
The grant will support UWSFC in its mission to engage the whole community to create increased opportunities for children and families to achieve their dreams and aspirations. Charitable contributions and grants from foundations and government agencies make up the majority of UWSFC’s revenue. More than 75% of UWSFC’s operating budget goes toward the programs and services provided to children and families in the community. Last year, 1,800 families took part in home visiting, PreK, Family Friends & Neighbors, or one of the many workshops or fun activities offered.
“UWSFC is happy to accept this grant from the Santa Fe Community Foundation,” said Katherine Freeman, President & CEO. “We are proud of the support we receive from SFCF in our vision to create a community where all children succeed in school and life.”
“Here at Santa Fe Community Foundation one of our focus areas is early childhood education. We are happy to support and partner with United Way of Santa Fe County whose work we consider to be integral to the measurable improvement of our community’s children and families,” said Christa Coggins, Vice President for Community Philanthropy at Santa Fe Community Foundation.
