Volunteer Opportunities with United Way of Santa Fe County

Volunteers have long been an important part of UWSFC. We have many volunteer opportunities that help us fulfill our mission to create lifelong, positive change for children and families striving to succeed in Santa Fe County.

Our volunteers guide our work and provide invaluable insight into our community. They impact every aspect of our mission, from our annual campaign to our financial oversight to the implementation of our work with children and families.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer with United Way of Santa Fe County, please fill out our Volunteer Application.

Community Volunteer Opportunities

At United Way of Santa Fe County, all of our volunteer opportunities are directed toward the support of our work.  We do not coordinate volunteer opportunities for other non-profit organizations in our community.

Volunteer Spotlight

Volunteer Recognition – Lori Gibson

Lori is a retired geologist and moved to Santa Fe in 2017 from Houston, TX. She enjoys outdoor recreation, arts and crafts. Since moving to Santa Fe she has taken up painting and ceramics.

Early childhood education is very important to Lori. Her two grown sons had the opportunity to go to a Reggio Emilia early childhood education program when they were toddlers and pre-schoolers. She has seen first-hand the benefit of a quality pre-K program.

She enjoys volunteering at the UWELC Pre-K because of the kids— they are so adorable (!), the amazing Kaune teachers (!!) and floaters, admin and staff, and because of the dedication and professionalism each and every person involved with Kaune shows every day.
