Ready for success in school and life
For three- to five-year-olds
What if every child started kindergarten ready to learn? Research shows that quality early education makes young children into lifelong learners, effective problem-solvers and positive playmates who interact well with those around them. Through early learning, your child gains the language and literacy skills she needs to excel well beyond kindergarten. In fact, kids who benefit from early learning programs are far more likely to graduate high school—and enjoy successful lives afterwards.
The United Way Early Learning Center at Kaune offers free early education and PreK classes to prepare your boy or girl for school. Led by qualified early childhood educators, our dual-language classes never exceed 18 students, so your child gets ample attention.
Our program takes the innovative Reggio Emilia approach to learning, which aims to channel your child’s natural pleasure in learning to help him become an active player in his education. Because when a child’s joyful curiosity is ignited early, that flame endures even when challenges kick in. Valued as strong, competent and resilient learners, young boys and girls who come out of our Reggio Emilia-inspired program emerge prepared for success in school and life.
“We had such a positive experience with our older son attending PreK at The Early Learning Center that we have recently enrolled our younger son. The teachers contribute to all children feeling eager and confident to begin their learning experience. Both of our boys have gained a real love for school while attending Pre-K, and are active and engaged learners. We cannot say enough about the wonderful staff and teachers. We have gained friends and truly feel a part of the school community. We will always be grateful for the wonderful experience our family has had with The Early Learning Center.”- Venessa, Manuel, Manuel and Marcos, PreK family
