Volunteer Opportunities with United Way of Santa Fe County

Volunteers have long been an important part of UWSFC. We have many volunteer opportunities that help us fulfill our mission to create lifelong, positive change for children and families striving to succeed in Santa Fe County.

Our volunteers guide our work and provide invaluable insight into our community. They impact every aspect of our mission, from our annual campaign to our financial oversight to the implementation of our work with children and families.

If you are interested in volunteering with United Way of Santa Fe County, please contact Claire Dudley Chavez at (505) 216-2972 or claired@uwsfc.org.

Community Volunteer Opportunities

At United Way of Santa Fe County, all of our volunteer opportunities are directed toward the support of our work.  We do not coordinate volunteer opportunities for other non-profit organizations in our community.

Volunteer Spotlight

June  2017 Volunteer Recognition – Daven Lee

It was an honor for me to teach yoga at United Way for the past two years.  The prenatal and postpartum period was such a precious time for me with my children. I loved being a part of women’s lives during this important transition into motherhood.  For quite a few, it was their first encounter with yoga.  And as a teacher, I was humbled by the power of holding space so that women could take time out of their busy lives and feel into stillness, presence, relaxation and coming home to their bodies.

I am growing my practice of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (still charging a student rate—come see me!) and building my business, Love+Leche.  I continue to teach my intermediate level yoga class on Saturday mornings, and am planning future women’s workshops.  Visit my DaoistWoman.com website to learn more.
