The strategy of the Out-of-School-Time (OST) Partnership is to bring youth-serving organizations in Santa Fe together in a strong, mutually supportive collaboration to implement a program of richly diverse afterschool and out-of-school-time activities.

The OST partners share a basic belief that one of the most significant ways that the community can contribute to our children’s academic success is to provide students with an array of well-designed, high-quality enrichment activities – activities that, because of the necessity to concentrate on specific academic subjects and the limits of time and funding, the public schools may be unable to provide during the school day.

Such activities have been shown to inspire enthusiasm, expand personal horizons, increase self-esteem and self-efficacy, improve behaviors, and, ultimately, strengthen academic performance in children who participate.
