School is out Monday, March 8 through Friday, March 12, but that doesn’t mean the PreK program will be idle. On Tuesday, March 9, PreK students and their families are invited to experience the “Wayang Kulit” exhibit at the Museum of International Folk Art. Children will learn about story-telling in Indonesia with hands-on experiences with shadow puppets and musical instruments. After touring the exhibit we will convene in the museum’s studio workshop to make ‘wings and headbands’ inspired by the exhibit. All of these activities will be guided by a bilingual educator from the museum. Start: 03/09/2010 10:00 am

United Way is still accepting applications for Fall of 2010 PreK programs! Southside Branch Library All our half day sessions are free. Our PreK classrooms are located in these public schools: Agua Fria Elementary, Kaune Elementary, and Cesar Chavez Elementary. All children who will be four years old by September 1, 2010 and who live in Santa Fe County, may apply to UWSFC PreK programs. Please bring child’s birth certificate and two sources of address verification (rental agreement or utility bill – gas, electric, home phone, etc.) | 12
