Rand Corporation, one of the nation’s premier research and policy organizations, is working with UWSFC to conduct a rigorous, multi-year evaluation of the First Born home visiting program. This study promises to elevate the First Born program to become one of the few program to gain national recognition as having an ‘evidence base.’ Rigorous evaluation studies that employ a control group and random assignment of treatment are extremely rare in the literature and we are very grateful to Rand and the LANL Foundation for pioneering and supporting this exciting effort.
