Pre-K Lead Teacher for the Early Learning Center in the Santa Fe Children’s Project

 

40 Hours/Week with Full-Time Benefits, School-Schedule (academic year)

 
 

The Santa Fe Children’s Project (SFCP) is an innovative community development initiative of United Way of Santa Fe County that seeks to strengthen families and the community through an interconnected network of early intervention, education, economic development and family support programs.  The SFCP is comprised of programs and services including First Born, Baby University, Early Learning Center (Pre-K), and Afterschool Program. 

  

The Pre-K Lead Teacher is responsible for creating and maintaining a classroom environment that gives students an opportunity to develop and grow at their own pace and conforms to UWSFC and CYFD requirements and regulations. The Early Learning Center operates under a defined philosophy and curriculum statement that Pre-K Lead Teachers are expected to embrace and follow. 
 

 

Summary of Qualifications*:

 
 

  •  

    Minimum of Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education with commitment to work toward a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education according to the CYFD requirements for Pre-K teachers. Additionally, New Mexico licensure must be obtained according to the timetable dtermined by UWSFC.

  •  

    Experience working with young children; prefer three years’ work experience in early childhood education

  •  

    Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.  English writing proficiency required.  Ability to read and write in Spanish is preferred, but not required. 

  •  Practical knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices

  •  

    Sensitivity with children and families who represent a wide range of socio-economic and risk factors

     

  •  Ability to work well in culturally diverse setting and knowledge of local population served

  •  

    Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records using both paper files and computer software such as MS Word

     

  •  Effective and accurate interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written

  •  Professionalism, tact, and patience when communicating with children, families, employees, and staff at all levels of the organization

  •  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions

  •  Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times

  •  Ability to pass a mandatory background clearance required of all childcare workers in the State of New Mexico

  •  CPR certified within first 90 days of employment

  •  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, drive, sit for long periods of time and use computer equipment and cell phones.  The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.  The employee must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Donor Data Specialist for the Resource Development Department

 

20 Hours/Week with Part-Time Benefits

 

The Donor Data Specialist is responsible for providing data entry and database support to the Resource Development department to ensure timely input and retrieval of donor data with a high level of data integrity and accuracy. This position requires proficiency with data entry and management, strong organizational skills, ability to learn a data system through written documentation, multi-tasking, adherence to project deadlines, and efficient problem-solving.

 

The Donor Data Specialist may also perform basic IT troubleshooting and coordinate support for servers, routers and desktop computer systems. This position may provide maintenance and development of data collection systems to ensure quality control. This position may also provide basic administrative support to the Resource Development Department as needed. Work shall be performed primarily at UWSFC offices during ordinary office hours (exact part-time work schedule to be negotiated with supervisor).

 

 

Qualifications*:

 

  • High school diploma or GED, prefer higher education
  • 6-months prior professional data entry experience or comparable administrative experience with computers/software/data systems; prefer professional experience working in a development office or non-profit setting
  • Intermediate database management, Excel, and Outlook software knowledge; prefer experience with Enterprise by Access International database or Access-based databases
  • Basic computer skills with ability to troubleshoot desktop systems and MS Office software
  • Detail-oriented and accurate data entry skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to learn a database through written documentation (user manuals) with some limited tech support and webinar training
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and flexibly adjust to changing priorities and deadlines while maintaining diplomacy and good judgment
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Ability to work well in culturally diverse setting with knowledge of the local population served
  • Ability to work independently and within team settings
  • Ability to pass a mandatory background clearance required of all childcare workers in the State of New Mexico
  • Reliable transportation with valid New Mexico driver’s license, current automobile registration and proof of auto insurance
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, drive, and sit for long periods of time and use computer equipment and cell phones. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must be able to lift 40 pounds. Occasional local travel is required for meetings, errands and events.
